Running Scared
Now this was a surprise. Lot’s of action, violence, nudity and a really creepy pedophile scene coming out of nowhere in the middle of the film all lends itself to a pretty successful movie.
I was expecting a rather ho-hum movie from Paul Walker which seems to be the norm. But they went above and beyond for this film and for the most part it worked.
It’s the kind of movie that no one sees in the theater, but you watch in on cable every time its on.
Paul Walker plays a low level mafia thug who must discard a weapon used to shoot a cop. Well he doesn’t and when the weapon hits the streets its a big chase to get the gun back and all along the way hijinks ensue. Hijinks meaning kidnappings, explosions, fist fights and being held on the ice while hockey pucks are being shot at your face.
While enjoyable, the movie is graphic and bloody, so it may not be for everyone. But if your a fan of Tarantino type films, you will probably like this one.
